Lapland (Agate+Amethyst) Look closely. In the small cavity of the agate, protected by the embrace of the stone, is an amethyst crystal, so vibrant and deeply colored. The stone comes from the mines of Lapland, and its unique hue is a testament to the volcanic past of the region. In addition, the stone is edged with silver, which provides additional protection, and enhances the properties of the jewelry.

While researching and making, the craftsman learned from the ancient Sami craft tradition. Agate, although not native to Lapland, was often used as a trade item due to its grounding and protective properties. The combination of agate and amethyst, grounding and spirituality, was a powerful symbol. The agate is carefully carved, forming a protective shield, and inside is set an amethyst, a channel to the spirit world. Perhaps it is a personal talisman, a divination tool or a gift for a loved one?

It reminds us of our connection to the land, our ancestors and the spirits.
